Sports Photographer

Job Description
As an intern with the Burlington Bees, you will be an active part of the many facets of the marketing, promoting and group sales for a college summer baseball organization. Primary responsibilities include creating and posting quality action photos and videos for use in multiple social media platforms, as well as traditional media outlets.

Responsibilities

- Create action photographs and videos of players and fans throughout game days, and distribute in

cooperation with media group

- Create and post individual player and team photographs as required by league guidelines
- In cooperation with media team, create and distribute general marketing posts across multiple media

platforms

- Observe current team marketing methods and recommend updates in keeping with current available

marketing methods

- Store and organize photos for easy access by media group

- Provide specific photos as requested by outside media sources and providers

Start Date
Start in mid-March and end the last week of May. (start and finish dates are flexible).



Hours
Full time, 9 AM to end of game and post-game coordination on game days. Expect to work weekends and special events. This position is likely to travel with the team to most away games.



Compensation and Benefits
Your housing and all utilities are paid for. Housing is provided in Southeastern Community College's Millennial Hall resident apartments. The apartment includes pass key security, full size kitchen, internet connection and cable readiness. These are two bedroom, four bed units. The team provides a free meal each home game. Two meals per day are provided on road trips.

There is a $150 per month stipend.

Qualification
Currently enrolled in a college or university media or marketing program, or similar major.

Ability to work with a diverse team in a close environment.

We are looking for a talented, self-motivated individual who wants to learn what goes on behind the scenes of high-level collegiate summer baseball team. We value open-minded, conscientious team players possessing a positive attitude and a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done. Must have excellent writing, computer skills and a willingness to work in the business community.


Must have knowledge of the workings of multiple social media platforms, the demographics they reach, and how best to utilize them.

Experience in sports photography preferred.
