This full-time remote position primarily focuses on providing support and treatment for individuals dealing with mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related issues. • Conduct in-depth assessments to determine the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, tailoring evaluations to meet individual needs.

• Work closely with clients to co-create personalized treatment plans that outline specific objectives and preferred intervention strategies.
\n
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), promoting effective coping mechanisms and emotional regulation.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and sound self-care practices to foster empowerment.
\n
• Regularly monitor clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to adapt to evolving needs and ensure the best possible outcomes.
\n
• Engage collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care and stay aligned with each client’s treatment goals.
\n
• Stay informed on the latest research and clinical practices concerning mood disorders, incorporating fresh insights into treatment approaches.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering to ethical and legal standards.
\n
• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development initiatives to further enhance clinical expertise.
\n
• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs, working to reduce stigma around mood disorders within the community.

You will primarily work with a diverse client base facing various mood disorders, including those grappling with significant life changes, interpersonal challenges, and other related mental health concerns. Your efforts will directly contribute to enhancing their quality of life and emotional resilience.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
\n
• At least two years of post-licensure experience with a focus on mood disorders is preferred.
\n
• Solid understanding and experience with evidence-based treatment methods for mood disorders, including CBT and DBT.
\n
• Knowledge of psychopharmacology and the ability to work effectively with psychiatrists and medical teams.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills for rapport building with clients from various backgrounds and for collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

• Demonstrated success in delivering positive treatment outcomes for clients with mood disorders.
\n
• Experience in working within a community health clinic setting is advantageous.
\n
