Reports To: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Position Summary

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct one-on-one ABA therapy to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The RBT implements individualized treatment plans, collects accurate data, and works collaboratively with families and clinical staff to promote meaningful progress across communication, social, adaptive, play, and daily living skills.

Essential Responsibilities

• Implement individualized ABA treatment plans developed by the supervising BCBA.
• Provide engaging, child-centered therapy using evidence-based teaching strategies.
• Collect accurate and timely data during therapy sessions.
• Follow behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and implement appropriate behavior reduction procedures.
• Teach communication, social, play, self-help, and adaptive living skills.
• Maintain a positive, fun, and therapeutic learning environment.
• Collaborate with BCBAs and caregivers regarding client progress.
• Attend required supervision meetings, trainings, and team meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Complete session notes and documentation accurately and within required timelines.
• Maintain professionalism with clients, families, coworkers, and community partners.
• Ensure client safety at all times.

Qualifications

Required

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to actively engage with children throughout therapy sessions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain physically active during sessions.

Preferred

• Experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• Experience in early intervention or pediatric settings.
• Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, behavior analysis, or a related field.
