Lead HVAC Installer

- Install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and light commercial applications.
- Install, modify, and design duct systems for optimal comfort and efficiency.
- Install copper refrigerant lines, including brazing and soldering.
- Complete low-voltage and line-voltage wiring for HVAC equipment.
- Connect gas lines to heating equipment safely and according to code requirements.
- Install flex duct and sheet metal duct systems.
- Lead installation crews on assigned projects.
- Provide training, coaching, and technical guidance to HVAC Installers and Helpers.
- Promote safe work practices and quality workmanship.
- Help team members develop installation skills and industry knowledge.
- Pre-measure jobs and determine required materials and equipment.
- Verify materials and equipment are received and loaded properly.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and timely.
- Perform system startup, testing, and equipment readings.
- Ensure installations meet company standards, manufacturer specifications, and local codes.
- Maintain a clean, organized job site and company vehicle.
- Support other team members as needed to ensure successful project completion.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 5 years of HVAC installation experience.
- Experience installing:
- Heat pumps
- Air handlers
- Furnaces
- Residential and light commercial HVAC systems
- Experience with 120V and 240V electrical installations.
- Experience designing and installing ductwork systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret installation specifications and technical documents.
- Valid California Driver's License pursuant to company policy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must possess personal HVAC hand tools.
- Ability to safely lift and move equipment up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders, work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and confined spaces.
- EPA Certification.
- NATE Certification (or successful completion of at least one NATE exam).
- Insulation installation experience.
- Experience leading installation crews.
Salary Description
$32-$40/hour (depending on experience)
