RN (Registered Nurse)

Unit Manager PositionUnit Manager will call to interview clinician if recommended by internal clinical team. RN will need to have admit/recovery experience in Cath Lab Pre/Post Recovery unit. Required certifications/ARRT include BLS/ACLS, NIHSS certification, WA license or Compact license. On average, there are 30 cases per day. EPIC and PYXIS are used for EMR/equipment. The charge nurse is 1 and staff RNs are daily staffed with 16 RNs in various shifts. Call is required 5-7 days a month by sign up. Call requirement is 60 minutes response, although within 30 minutes is preferred. Call weekends are from 5AM-5PM and 5PM-5AM, and weekday call is from 9:30PM-5AM. Holidays are on call only, otherwise off. Scrub color is provided, hospital issued surgical attire. Tele is N/A, central monitored in pre/post op. Vents are not required. Cardiologist hours/on call are 24/7. IV team is SWAT team available, not needed in unit, pre op nurses and Cath lab staff are proficient in ultrasound IV starts. RT 24/7 and code support are available. Shifts are recovery unit open Monday-Friday 5AM-9:30PM; common shifts needed 9AM-5:30PM, 6AM-6PM, 7AM-7PM; shifts negotiable. Floating is not unless emergency response. Floor specific orientation is less than 1 week if competent. Common cases include admit and recovery for patients having left and right heart Caths, complex PCI, electrophysiology, interventional radiology and peripheral vascular (hybrid or combined cases- AAA). Additional notes: busy multimodality lab in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Beautiful brand new campus opened in December 2020, traveler need due to expansion of services, not staff resignations.
