Industrial Account Manager

Insight Global is seeking an Account Manager for a growing industrial services client specializing in hydrovac and vacuum excavation solutions. This individual will be responsible for driving territory growth, expanding customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities across construction, utilities, and infrastructure markets. The ideal candidate combines strong sales acumen with operational awareness and serves as a trusted advisor to customers while partnering closely with Operations to ensure successful project execution and service delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities Include:
• Develop and execute territory sales and growth strategies
• Build, manage, and expand customer relationships throughout the assigned market
• Identify and pursue high-potential business opportunities and market segments
• Conduct customer meetings, site visits, inspections, and project walkthroughs
• Prepare, submit, and follow up on project bids and proposals
• Coordinate closely with Operations to ensure efficient project scheduling and execution
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer accounts
• Support collection efforts and account management activities when necessary
• Educate contractors, utilities, and safety stakeholders on hydrovac and vacuum excavation solutions
• Maintain strong market awareness and identify opportunities to increase market share

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of outside sales, account management, or business development experience within industrial services, industrial equipment, equipment rental, construction, utilities, or related industries
• Proven experience managing and growing customer accounts within a designated territory
• Experience selling to contractors, industrial customers, municipalities, utilities, or infrastructure-related clients
• Strong relationship-building, business development, and customer retention experience
• Ability to conduct customer meetings, site visits, and project walkthroughs
• Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout the territory


Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience selling industrial rental equipment, heavy equipment, construction equipment, fleet services, or industrial service solutions
• Experience in hydrovac, vacuum excavation, underground utilities, sewer/water, environmental services, oil & gas, or industrial construction
• Sales leadership or sales management experience
• Experience preparing bids, estimates, and project proposals
• Existing relationships with contractors, utility companies, municipalities, or infrastructure customers in the Virginia market
