Progressive Care Unit - PCU RN (Travel Nurse) Auburn, New York – 13‑week assignment, 48 hours per week, 12‑hour nights. Overview We are looking for a qualified RN to work on the PCU (Progressive Care Unit) for a 13‑week travel assignment in Auburn, NY. The PCU focuses on patients who need close monitoring but are not in ICU; roles include cardiac, medical, neuro, surg, and ER step‑down patients. Responsibilities Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients. Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs. Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions. Monitor and adjust specialized equipment; interpret and record electronic displays. Initiate corrective action based on monitoring equipment data. Maintain physical stamina: stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, handle patients' needs. Requirements Registered Nurse (RN) license. ACLS, BLS, and NIH certification. Minimum 1‑2 years recent acute care experience. Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
