More about our team: Join our team is a Registered Nurse Medical Surgical RN where you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside a dedicated team of Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). You will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. LCRH is a 295-bed acute care facility, providing healthcare services for an 11-county service area in south central Kentucky. How you'll contribute * Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. * Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family. * Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. * Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs. * Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances. * Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients. * Participate in performance improvement and continuing education. * Maintains regular and reliable attendance. * Performs other duties as assigned Additional Information * Exposure: Regular occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens and hazardous materials. * Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements Why Join Us: We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care.
