Project Designer - Labs & Research Planning

The role is ideal for an experienced architectural designer who is passionate about innovation, technical excellence, client engagement, and mentoring the next generation of design professionals. Key Responsibilities Lead life sciences and laboratory projects through programming, planning, design, documentation, and construction administration. Facilitate user group meetings and develop laboratory programs, space plans, adjacencies, and equipment layouts. Coordinate closely with engineers, consultants, and vendors to deliver integrated design solutions for technical environments. Manage and mentor project teams, providing direction, quality control, and professional development support. Support client relationships, presentations, project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and overall project delivery strategies. Skills and Experience 7-12 years of architectural experience, including significant experience in life sciences and laboratory planning environments. Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited program. Proven experience leading laboratory, research, biotech, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related technical projects. Strong expertise in lab programming, technical planning, interdisciplinary coordination, and architectural best practices. Proficiency in Revit; architectural licensure, Rhino, parametric modeling tools, and AI-driven design technologies are advantageous.
