Collegiate School seeks substitute teachers in the Lower School, JK – 4thGrade.  Substitute teachers may be assigned a lead or supporting role in a classroom, depending on grade level, discipline and student needs.  The role of the substitute teacher requires flexibility, cooperation and collaboration. We seek to hire qualified individuals with a deep respect for children and strong classroom management skills. A bachelor’s degree and experience working with children is required.

Lower School substitutes are interviewed by the Lower School Substitute Coordinator who maintains the substitute list. Please note that Virginia law requires background checks for school employment.

Collegiate School is a co-educational, independent day school located in Henrico County, within 20 minutes of downtown Richmond, Virginia, for students in Junior Kindergarten through 12th grade.
