Construction Superintendent - Industrial, Retail and Self-Storage

Location - NY/NJ

Comp Range - $130k to $160k base + 5% project profit share

PTO - 15 Days + Company Holidays

About the Role:

This opportunity is with one of the leading self-storage and industrial GCs operating across the Tri-State area. Following a significant increase in awarded projects across New York and New Jersey, this company is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee ground-up and fit-out projects ranging from $3M to $60M across industrial, retail, and self-storage sectors.

You will take full ownership of on-site operations, working closely with project management while maintaining schedule, budget, and quality across fast-paced, high-expectation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all on-site construction activities across industrial, retail, and self-storage projects in the NY/NJ metro area.
• Control scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Resolve on-site issues proactively and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and ownership groups.
• Utilize Procore and other project management tools to track progress and manage documentation.
• Enforce safety standards and ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to provide updates and address any concerns.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent managing ground-up commercial, industrial, or self-storage projects.
• Hands-on experience with tilt-wall, steel, CMU, or multi-story construction methods preferred.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Proficient in Procore and other relevant project management software.
• Based in or willing to work across the NY/NJ region.
