Details Work in the Intermediate Care/IICU unit of a hospital setting Adult patient population including trauma, medical, surgical, and neurology cases requiring monitoring or interventions every 1-2 hours Unit receives direct admissions, ICU transfers, and Rapid Response Team escalations Patient ratio of 1:3 Specialized equipment includes Hercules patient re-positioners, ceiling lifts, and Airtaps Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:30 Weekend requirement of 6 shifts per 6-week schedule period Must work 2 of the 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Option of 13 or 26-week contract length Floating to other qualified units or campuses required based on census needs Requirements Active SC or multistate compact RN license required BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Previous ICU/IICU experience with acuity of at least 1:3 required At least 1 completed travel assignment required, or 3 years of specialty experience for first-time travelers with critical care background 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience required Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Telemetry monitoring experience required Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips required Ventilator management experience required Experience in progressive care settings such as PCU, DOU, IMC, or Stepdown may be considered based on acuity Additional Information Provide cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and critical care interventions for high-acuity adult patients Manage patients requiring ventilator support and vasoactive medication titration Facility is a Magnet-recognized, 641-bed regional teaching medical center and Level I Adult/Level II Pediatric Trauma Center Orientation occurs every Monday with annual compliance requirements Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2-week period First-time travelers considered with 3 years of specialty and critical care experience Local candidates accepted; radius requirements apply for travel pay rate eligibility All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted for facility approval at time of booking American Traveler Job ID P-743168.
