Pay Rate: $61.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (as needed)
• Saturday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM (as needed)

Position Summary

We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join our highly automated central fill pharmacy operation in Memphis, TN. The Pharmacist will work alongside pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and operations personnel to ensure medication orders are processed accurately, safely, and efficiently. This role is responsible for overseeing pharmacy workflow, supporting production goals, and maintaining compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and dispense medication orders accurately and timely.
• Replenish medication hoppers and oversee pharmacy automation systems.
• Supervise and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians, clerks, and support staff.
• Perform quality assurance checks throughout the production process.
• Document and report medication errors to the Supervisor and Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC).
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Oversee return-to-stock processes and inventory management activities.
• Provide direction and assistance to pharmacy staff involved in medication order fulfillment.
• Offer professional drug and product information to operations personnel as needed.
• Monitor proper storage, handling, and distribution of medications.
• Complete end-of-day responsibilities and follow established building closing procedures.
• Promote a collaborative team environment and assist colleagues as needed.
• Adhere to company policies, pharmacy procedures, and quality standards.
• Maintain strong attention to detail in all aspects of pharmacy operations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or an advanced pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
• Active, unrestricted Tennessee Pharmacist License (Required).
• Eligible for pharmacist licensure in additional states.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work evening shifts and Saturdays as needed.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharmacist licenses in additional states.
• Previous pharmacist experience.
• Experience working in a high-volume pharmacy environment.
• Experience with automated pharmacy systems and central fill operations.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit and stand intermittently for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, reach, and perform computer-based tasks.
• Ability to push and pull carts as needed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production pharmacy environment.

Required Skill

• Active Tennessee Pharmacist License
