Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Meditech is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Georgia license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Phoebe Putney and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Phoebe Putney.

Additional Details:

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in hospital med-surg units.

Unit Details: RN/LPN ratio 6:1; CNA ratio 12:1. Telemetry on unit. Common diagnoses/types of patients include CHF, COPD, ESRD, pneumonia, renal failure, sickle cell crisis, orthopedic surgery, bariatric surgery, AMS, and sepsis. No IV team; may consult PICC team if needed. Hospitalist in house 24/7. RT available 24/7. Charge nurse and nurse aides on unit.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend required. Holidays as required.

Floating Requirements: Floating occasionally.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
