Experience in a high-volume hospital environment is preferred. Familiarity with ventilators and the management of pressors and hemodynamic monitoring is essential. Description:Daily parking is available.Nurses need to be open to floating between similar units.The unit is busy and operates at a Level 1 Trauma center.Candidates must be flexible with scheduling as self-scheduling is not permitted.Every other weekend commitment is required.Experience with EPIC documentation is mandatory.The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:2, with occasional 1:1 assignments.Common diagnoses include heart failure, STEMI, pulmonary emboli, and arrhythmias.Nurses are required to manage ventilators and perform troubleshooting.They must be capable of intervening in emergencies, such as self-extubation or trach displacement.Regular nursing duties may include interpreting telemetry strips using HP monitors.Patient care assistant support is minimal, typically one assistant for all beds if available.An intensivist model is applied for MICU patients with support available 24/7.Respiratory therapy is available around the clock in the ICU.The charge nurse is assigned but may carry a patient load depending on staffing.Weekend and holiday coverage is managed by the staff, with occasional requests for additional days.The dress code includes teal tops and bottoms, with solid non-terrycloth jackets permissible.Unit-specific orientation consists of two 12-hour shifts.There is no call or standby requirement.Nurses will be expected to float to similar units as needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet Health
