Business Analyst

MARS Solutions Group is looking for a Business Analyst. Our client is a (Technology/Financial Services) industry leader looking for high-quality talent to make a difference. They are known to respect a traditional work week and often extend contracts for added job security and stability.


We are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst to join a cross-functional team of product managers, engineers, designers, and subject matter experts. In this role, you will help define and drive business outcomes through technology solutions while working in an agile environment.


You will play a key role in analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, identifying gaps, and supporting solution delivery across multiple business domains.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Domain Expertise

• Serve as a subject matter expert in at least one business area or domain.
• Develop a strong understanding of interconnected business functions and processes.
• Provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Translate business needs into actionable technology solutions.

Current State & Gap Analysis

• Assess and document current business processes and workflows.
• Identify business challenges, opportunities, and gaps.
• Define future-state solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Support strategic decision-making through detailed analysis.

Requirements Gathering & Agile Delivery

• Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders.
• Create and manage user stories, features, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and design teams in agile/scrum environments.
• Support multiple teams and initiatives with medium to high complexity.

Testing & Solution Validation

• Coordinate and support business testing activities.
• Assist with test planning, execution, and business sign-off.
• Ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements and expectations.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Work independently while mentoring junior Business Analysts when needed.
• Drive collaboration across cross-functional teams.
• Apply project management and organizational skills to successfully deliver initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4-5 years of experience in Business Analysis or related roles.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Ability to solve complex business problems and think strategically.
• Relevant certifications in Business Analysis or Agile methodologies are a plus.
