Job Information Location: Bronx, New York Department: MMG - Cross County And Urgent Care Unit: 1199 Shift: Evening Work Days: Vary per schedule Hours: Vary (approx 4 hours per shift) Hourly Rate: $46.11 Grant Funded: No Job Summary Montefiore Medical Center seeks a skilled X‑Ray Technologist to join its interventional pain management team. The role involves performing high‑quality radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations during precision pain management procedures, working closely with physicians while maintaining strict radiation safety protocols and efficient room turnaround. Responsibilities Perform radiographic examinations during pain management interventional procedures under the direction of the chief technologist. Conduct technical procedures with independent judgment and apply prescribed ionizing radiation for imaging diagnosis. Prepare the patient and procedure room, ensuring accurate data entry, proper linen supply, and assistance with patient transfers and positioning. Maintain a 5‑minute room turnaround time. Obtain high‑quality images by setting exposure factors and using correct patient identification labels and side markers. Keep precise, error‑free records of films, fluoroscopic time, and other clinical documentation. Strictly observe all radiation safety and patient identification rules, maintaining zero tolerance for misidentification. Assist physicians with contrast preparation, syringes, and injection equipment. Train students and associates, providing accurate information. Ensure overall cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of the assigned area and perform related tasks. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification. Valid X‑Ray Technician license issued by the State of NY. OHS Annual Assessment and OHS Fit Test completion. Coverage of two MMG sites: Bronx East and Cross County. Part‑time schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Friday 04:00P‑09:30P and alternating Saturdays 08:45A‑05:15P. Eligible for lateral transfer after one year of service in this position (subject to performance).
