X-Ray Technician
Location: New York, NY 10002 Start Date: 06/08/2026 End Date: 08/08/2026 Duration: 8 Weeks Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Position Type: Contract / Staffing Supplier Sourced
Position Overview The X-Ray Technologist will operate radiologic imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance. This role involves direct patient interaction, exam documentation, radiation safety, equipment maintenance, and collaboration with clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients for X-ray procedures
- Operate radiologic imaging equipment safely and accurately
- Maintain radiation protection standards for patients and staff
- Process and review radiographs for image quality
- Document procedures and patient care records accurately
- Troubleshoot imaging equipment and coordinate repairs if needed
- Maintain inventory of radiology supplies
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
- Participate in continuing education and yearly competency requirements
- Support team operations and additional departmental duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Active New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T.)
- ARRT Certification REQUIRED
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and radiation safety
Experience
- Open to candidates with 0–2 years of experience
- New graduates with proper licensing/certification may be considered
