Shift Type: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with rotating weekends (EOW) and holiday coverage as scheduled

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert critical care to complex ICU patients in a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Monitor and titrate IV drips including vasopressors, sedatives, and paralytics
• Interpret EKGs and telemetry strips to detect changes in patient status
• Collaborate with 24/7 intensivists, RTs, and a dedicated interdisciplinary team
• Float between SICU, MICU, and CVICU to meet patient needs and sharpen your skills
• Support trauma, neuro, and cardiovascular patients through their most vulnerable moments

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona (or compact license)
• Minimum 3 years of recent ICU experience, with at least 2 years in ICU
• Experience in either neuro or cardiovascular nursing
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Willing to float between all three ICU units
• Pass UNA Dysrhythmia exam (max 2 attempts) and Sim Lab on day 1
• First-time travelers welcome, but must meet experience requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• IV Drip Titration - propofol, levophed, vasopressin, and more
• EKG Interpretation and bedside telemetry
• Mechanical Ventilation and RT equipment (Draeger, Hamilton, PB840)
• CRRT, ECMO, IABP, and Impella experience a plus
• Trauma and neuro assessment skills
• Cerner charting system proficiency preferred
