Working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors, this role helps ensure the delivery of competitive, compliant, and cost-effective health, welfare, retirement, and wellness programs that support employee attraction, engagement, and retention. This position combines strong technical benefits expertise with analytical rigor, requiring the ability to evaluate program effectiveness, manage complex benefit operations, support annual enrollment activities, and provide actionable insights that inform benefits strategy and decision-making. The role reports to the Head of Global Benefits and partners closely with Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and external service providers. Resposibilities of the Role Benefits Administration & Operations Manage day-to-day administration of North American health, welfare, retirement, and wellness programs. Serve as a subject matter expert for U.S. medical, dental, vision, life, disability, spending account, and retirement plans, including 401(k) programs. Support benefit plan governance processes, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies. Partner with vendors and brokers to resolve operational issues, monitor service levels, and improve participant experience. Oversee eligibility, enrollment, life event, and vendor file processes to ensure accurate and timely administration. Retirement & Savings Programs Support administration and governance of the firm's 401(k) and retirement programs. Coordinate plan operations, testing, audits, regulatory filings and participant communications with vendors and internal partners. Monitor retirement plan performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve employee participation and engagement. Open Enrollment & Employee Experience Lead key aspects of annual open enrollment planning and execution. Coordinate enrollment materials, system configuration, testing, employee communications, and vendor readiness activities. Develop clear and effective employee communications that improve understanding and utilization of benefits programs. Respond to complex employee inquiries and serve as an escalation point for benefit-related issues. Analytics & Financial Management Analyze benefit utilization, enrollment, vendor performance, and cost trends to support data-driven decision-making. Develop reporting and dashboards that provide insights into program participation, costs, and employee engagement. Support monthly and annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial analyses related to benefits programs. Assist in evaluating vendor proposals, renewal strategies, and program design changes. Compliance & Risk Management Support compliance activities related to ERISA, COBRA, ACA, HIPAA, Section 125, 401(k), and other applicable regulations. Partner with Legal, Compliance, and external advisors on audits, filings, and regulatory changes. Maintain documentation, policies, procedures, and controls that support effective program governance. Program Enhancement Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, participant experience, and program effectiveness. Support implementation of new benefit initiatives, technology enhancements, and process improvements. Participate in benchmarking activities and market reviews to ensure programs remain competitive. Requirements of the Role 5-7 years of progressive experience in benefits administration, consulting, or human resources, with a primary focus on North American benefits. Demonstrated experience administering U.S. health and welfare plans and 401(k) retirement programs. Experience supporting open enrollment, vendor management, and benefits compliance activities. Background in financial services or a complex, multi-state employer environment preferred. Strong knowledge of U.S. employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, spending accounts, and retirement plans. Working knowledge of ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and retirement plan administration requirements. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret large data sets and translate findings into actionable recommendations. Advanced Excel skills; experience with benefits administration systems, reporting tools, and HRIS platforms. Strong project management and organizational capabilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. CEBS, CBP, SHRM, or related professional designation preferred.
