Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30 | Every other weekend and some holidays required | 4x12 schedule may be available upon request

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an IMC/PCU/Stepdown setting, including support for a Thoracic Surgery unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, including identification of lethal and complex cardiac rhythms
• Manage patients requiring ventilator support and transplant-related care
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Pass a required telemetry exam prior to start, with a minimum score of 80% and 100% identification of lethal rhythms
• Adhere to holiday scheduling requirements, including availability on designated holidays during the assignment period

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in the submitted specialty
• Telemetry, oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Ventilator and transplant experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Thoracic Surgery care environment
• Familiarity with complex cardiac rhythm interpretation, including 3rd degree heart blocks
• Prior travel nursing experience in a high-acuity inpatient setting
