Operations Manager

Overview Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is seeking an Operations Manager. This is a full-time on-site position at our Kings Mountain, NC manufacturing facility. Relocation support is available to those within the US/PR. The expected annual salary range is $130000 - $190000 per year and the position is eligible for a variable incentive program. Responsibilities Manages and directs all manufacturing and clutch activities to ensure completion of customer requirements. Assesses performance indicators and takes actions to ensure schedule, cost and quality goals are met. Ensures policies, procedures, and other documentation are followed to ensure consistent and compliant manufactured products. Provides leadership and commitment in support of continuous improvements in quality, productivity and delivery performance through the deployment of a continuous improvement framework. Ensures Environmental, Health, and Safety issues are addressed in alignment with local regulations, Eaton policy, and good corporate citizenship. Evaluates operational performance of the group to facilitate performance management, merit promotions, job transfers, etc. Develops budgets and resource plans, and monitors performance to achieve product delivery and cost requirements. Coordinates and assists with plant initiatives, participating on teams to drive best practices across the enterprise. Achieves labor productivity improvements, reduction of overtime, and leads cost reduction efforts to drive factory cost reductions. Qualifications Required Qualifications Minimum Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required. Minimum five (5) years of experience in manufacturing or manufacturing operations. Minimum two (2) years of experience managing production, continuous improvement, and/or supply chain management projects. Minimum one (1) year of experience with continuous improvement/lean methodologies. Eaton will not sponsor employment immigration for this position (no CPT/OPT/STEM OPT/H-1B sponsorship etc.). Preferred Qualifications Three (3) years or more of prior management experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Leadership, coaching, and influence management abilities. Ability to prioritize and multi-task. Understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes. Understanding of Supply Chain Management concepts (production planning, scheduling, purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control, logistics, and receiving/shipping). Skills Ability to identify linkages between functions and understand how actions affect downstream decisions within a value stream. Strong interpersonal and planning skills with the ability to lead change through both direct and indirect influence. Effective communication across different levels of the organization. Analytical skills and proficiency with problem-solving tools/methods (Six Sigma, 8D, etc.), goal setting, and performance tracking. Experience in process development, implementation, and sustainability. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
