Job Description Job Description Key Responsibilities: Machine Operation: Set up and operate manual and CNC machinery, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other equipment to manufacture precision parts according to blueprints and specifications. Calculate dimensions, tolerances, and measurements using precision tools such as micrometers and calipers. Monitor machine operation, including feed rates and speeds, to ensure quality and accuracy. Precision Fabrication: Manufacture precision components by cutting, grinding, machining, and shaping various metals and materials. Ensure all parts meet required specifications, quality standards, and dimensional tolerances. Adjust machine settings, tooling, and controls to correct any production issues or deviations. Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment to maintain safe and efficient operation. Troubleshoot equipment issues and make necessary adjustments or minor repairs. Communicate major equipment concerns with supervisors and coordinate with maintenance teams when needed. Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment to verify accuracy and compliance with specifications. Maintain accurate production and quality records. Support continuous improvement efforts to improve machining processes, efficiency, and product quality. Safety & Compliance: Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA/ANSI standards, and manufacturing guidelines. Properly use required PPE and maintain a safe, clean work environment. Identify and report safety hazards or equipment concerns. Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and production teams to improve machining processes. Provide feedback on design improvements, tooling, and manufacturing methods. Participate in team meetings, training, and process improvement initiatives. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical or vocational training in machining preferred. 3+ years of machinist experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience operating manual and CNC machines. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics. Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, materials, and metal properties. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, bend, reach, and work in various positions for extended periods. Ability to work in industrial environments with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery. #J-18808-Ljbffr NCW
