About the Position

The unit consists of 70 beds, with the majority being private rooms. The facility utilizes an electronic medical record system. RN-to-patient ratios are 1:20, with LPN and CNA ratios being 1:20 and 1:8 respectively. Common diagnoses and types of patients include dementia, frail elderly individuals, and those requiring rehabilitation. Job duties include charting, conducting assessments, charge duties, administering medications, and performing clinical skills such as IVs, catheters, and ostomy care. Experience with elderly patients is required. IVs and titratable drips are utilized in this unit. Respiratory therapy is available on-site 24/7. Pharmacy services are available, along with a medication dispensing system. The scheduling follows a block schedule with designated nursing and aide coverage. Weekend availability is required every other weekend, and holiday availability is necessary for at least half of the holidays during the assignment. There is no on-call or standby requirement. Floating to other units may be necessary. The dress code requires solid colors that are clean and professional.
