Associate - PJT Park Hill (Private Equity - Distribution)

Join the PJT Park Hill Private Equity team as an Associate in San Francisco. Responsibilities Support distribution efforts across the West Coast. Maintain existing LP relationships and develop new relationships. Cultivate strong LP and GP relationships; navigate these relationships to maximize commercial impact and influence key stakeholders. Maintain a deep understanding of both investors and clients, key selling points, and challenges around mandates and how best to address them with investors. Anticipate investor base needs and use knowledge to direct both sales and sourcing efforts. Provide advice to LP clients on market trends and/or strategies that go beyond PJT Park Hill mandates. “Quarterback” the lifecycle of the sale. Play an integral role throughout the negotiation, structuring, distributing and closing phases of complex transactions. Work effectively with existing project management teams across the firm to ensure effective communication and dialogue, resulting in constantly improving distribution results. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; Accounting, Finance, or Economics major preferred. 5–10 years of fundraising experience, particularly with private equity. Strong investor relationships and substantial experience in managing capital raises. Ability to drive multiple sales processes simultaneously. Demonstrable track record of building client relationships. Strong knowledge of the markets and competitive landscape. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple projects at a time. Self‑starter with ability to work effectively as part of a global team. Confident and self‑aware with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong work ethic, genuine passion for excellence, results‑oriented. Personal and professional integrity of the highest order. Entrepreneurial outlook; self‑starter who takes initiative and is collaborative both internally and externally. Expected annualized base salary of $225,000 to $250,000, plus potential discretionary bonus and other incentives.
