Our client is a prominent asset management firm located in the Bay Area. The firm manages a substantial amount of capital from a mix of UHNW families, as well as various institutions. They invest across public and private equity, fixed income, hedge funds, real estate, and natural resources. The firm has a strong culture with an emphasis on collaboration and hard work. They are currently seeking an Associate to join their team in the Bay Area. The Associate will focus on underwriting private equity, growth equity, and venture capital fund investments and occasionally working on associated co-investments. The position will be based in the Bay Area and is intended to be a two-year role, with the potential to stay on for a third year or longer for exceptional performers. Responsibilities Sourcing, managing, and screening new investment opportunities in funds and co-investment opportunities Regular meetings with potential and existing managers Conducting in-depth due diligence on managers and companies In-depth financial modeling on various investment opportunities Assisting in performance measurement, benchmarking, and presentations (both internal and client-facing) Monitoring existing investments across various asset classes Drafting investment memoranda and financial analyses Conducting market research Qualifications One to three years of experience (investment banking, manager selection, equity research, investment management, or consulting), or a similar amount of experience in a role that has involved a high degree of analytical work combined with familiarity with venture capital and private equity Excellent academic credentials from a top-tier school Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines Strong analytical and financial modeling skills Outstanding oral and written communication skills Highly ethical and trustworthy Self-starter capable of taking initiative, but who is also willing to receive guidance and direction Excellent interpersonal skills, including the desire and ability to interact with general partners, clients and external parties #J-18808-Ljbffr Pinnacle Group
