Director of Finance - Physician Group Operations
South Florida | Healthcare Finance Leadership Opportunity
A highly respected and rapidly growing healthcare organization is seeking a strategic and analytically driven Director of Finance to support its expanding physician enterprise.
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a finance professional who thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment and enjoys partnering closely with operational, physician, and executive leadership to drive organizational performance, growth, and innovation.
The Director of Finance will play a critical role in transforming financial planning and analytics capabilities across the physician group while helping shape strategic and operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic finance partner to physician group and executive leadership
- Lead operating and capital budgeting processes across multiple service lines and locations
- Develop and enhance financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools
- Analyze physician productivity, RVUs, patient volumes, revenue trends, and operational performance
- Support business planning initiatives including provider expansion and service line growth
- Partner with Revenue Cycle and operational leaders to improve reporting accuracy and financial performance
- Drive process improvement, reporting automation, and scalable analytics solutions
- Oversee service line and cost accounting analytics to support data-driven decision making
- Support provider compensation analysis, productivity monitoring, and quality incentive programs
- Lead monthly operating reviews and provide actionable variance analysis and insights
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field required
- Master’s degree preferred
- CPA or CMA preferred
- 7+ years of healthcare finance experience required
- Experience supporting physician groups, ambulatory operations, or medical practices strongly preferred
- Strong background in FP&A, budgeting, analytics, and operational finance
- Experience with provider compensation, RVUs, service line analytics, or healthcare reporting highly desirable
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills required
- Experience with Axiom, Workday Adaptive Planning, or similar financial systems preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
