JVA Consultant

SAP JVA Contractor

Responsible for the production support of the SAP Joint Venture Accounting (JVA) Modules

Provide business solutions and support for the Global SAP system with a focus on the Joint Venture Accounting module

Assist in the support of other financial modules, including but not limited to FI (Finance), CO (Controlling), Project Systems (PS) and Profit Center Accounting (PCA)

End User support

Create functional specifications for development requirements

Maintain support team documentation

System configuration

Functional integration testing

Experience with JVA Master data elements such as Company Codes, Joint Operating Agreements, Joint Ventures, Recovery and Billing Indicators, and Overhead Rules

Month end closing experience that includes working with Overhead, Equity Change, Cutback, Suspense, and Billing

Experience with document posting, clearing, and resetting

Knowledge of the standard SAP JVA reports and how to execute and extract data from them

Experience working with end-users to document business requirements and translating those requirements into system, application, and process design

Customer focused and able to effectively communicate with a variety of groups

Analyze issues and understands their business impact

Demonstrate success in designing and implementing complex technical and functional solutions, identifying gaps, and addressing the gaps with solutions

Basic/Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years SAP configuration experience in the JVA module

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of substitutions and validations
• Solid experience in Oil & Gas accounting and/or business experience
