Tystar is a rapidly growing manufacturer of semiconductor materials processing equipment, benefiting from the recent CHIPS and Science Act. Our products are utilized in various segments of the industry, including integrated circuits, MEMS, power semiconductor devices, opto-electronic devices, solar cells, fiber optic devices, and semiconductor materials.

Currently, we are hiring for the position of Mechanical CAD Drafter. We are looking for someone who is hard-working, detail-oriented, and willing to learn. This is a half-time position (~20 hours per week). The exact schedule is negotiable within our standard business hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM.

Job Description:

Support the Engineering and Production departments by creating layouts, detail drawings, and assembly drawings using 2-D AutoCAD and 3-D SolidWorks software. Generate Bills of Materials for assembly drawings, maintain/update the engineering database, and revise existing drawings/BOMs as directed. Should have a good understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology, along with mechanical aptitude and the ability to complete basic mathematical calculations. Be able to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to complete project goals.

Job Duties:

-Use AutoCAD and SolidWorks to create and modify 2-D and 3-D layouts and drawings

-Create Bills of Material for assembly drawings

-Update and maintain engineering database

-Work with Engineering and Production departments to meet project goals

-Perform other work-related duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

-Fluency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks software, especially 2-D AutoCAD

-Prior experience (2+ years) with mechanical CAD drafting is preferred but not required

-Good written and verbal communication skills

-Basic computer skills with Microsoft Windows & Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, etc.)

-Must pass a background check

-Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Salary:

• $25-$30/hour DOE, plus Paid Time Off (PTO)

• Hours are negotiable within normal business hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM
