The objectives for this position include:Optimizing overall profitabilityCreating a culture of accountability which supports the organizational valuesMeeting or exceeding annual growth objectivesFacilitating interdepartmental collaborationEmployee retention and team member developmentDevelopment of team member and operating policiesImplementation of major business initiativesImplementation of solutions and systems that support the seven areas abovePrimary Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:Oversee all day-to-day general facility operations and facility maintenanceDevelop and maintain a complete set of written policies and procedures with respect to operations and administration of facilityEnsure compliance of all venue and company-wide policies for all team membersInvestigate accidents, complaints and ensure proper reports have been completed and appropriate action is takenConduct a daily walkthrough and inspection of the facility to ensure that it is clean and well maintained, inviting to guests, and that facility standards are being complied with by team members and contractorsEnsure that services within the facility are delivered in a safe, dependable, and effective mannerDevelop and monitor a risk management program and ensure all necessary steps are taken by team members to minimize the chance of liability to the facilityMeet and greet guests in a warm, friendly and professional manner in accordance with all facility policies and proceduresRespond to guest messages on a daily basisAnalyze operations to evaluate performance of the company and its staff to meet objectives, and to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change.Confer with ownership, Sports Facilities Management advisors & support team, and staff members to discuss issues, coordinate activities, and resolve problemsAssist in coordinating the development and implementation of budgetary control systems, recordkeeping systems, and other administrative control processesDirect and coordinate an organization's financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiencyDirect, plan, and implement policies, objectives, and activities of organizations or businesses to ensure continuing operations, maximize returns on investments, and increase productivityImplement corrective action plans to solve organizational or departmental problemsPrepare and present reports concerning activities, expenses, budgets, government statutes and rulings, and other items affecting businesses or program servicesRepresent the organization and promote its objectives at official functions, or delegate representatives to do soServe as a liaison between shareholders, and outside organizationsDirect and give strategic direction to all departmentsNegotiate or approve contracts and agreements with suppliers, distributors, federal and state agencies, and other organizational entitiesOrganize and approve promotional campaignsPrepare annual operating budgets for approval, including those for funding and implementation of programsReview reports submitted by team members to recommend approval or to suggest changesContinually research new technologies to increase efficiency within the businessSchedule and monitor continued training seminar for team members on various operational, safety, and legal responsibilitiesResponsible for personal professional development by attending various industry seminars and conventions as approved by the Regional General ManagerAll other duties as assigned by VP of Venue ManagementMinimum QualificationsPrior responsibility in daily P&L management and budget oversight responsibility of $1MM or greaterProven management and leadership experience in the food and beverage, recreational, and entertainment industryOperational knowledge of F&B, entertainment, and sport clubs as well as parties, corporate events, and teambuilding preferred.Prior experience in contracting or overseeing others who have sold corporate sponsorships, tournaments, leagues, camps, fitness programming, and other related services preferredPrior experience managing marketing programsA minimum of 7 years of management experienceOperational knowledge of risk managementSkilled at identifying and creating opportunities to deliver revenue goalsSports programming and sports event operations expertise requiredBachelor's degree in business management, sports management, marketing, hospitality, related field, or equivalent experienceTravel RequirementsMinimal travel as needed to trade shows, SFM leadership conferencesWorking Conditions and Physical DemandsAbility to travel to national events and regionally by carMust be able to lift 40 pounds waist highWill be required to sit for extended periods of time operating a computerWill be required to conduct venue toursOffice environment has intermittent noise, normal in nature
