Supervisory Risk Analyst (Deputy Director)

The Division of Clearing and Risk (DCR or Division) leads the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s efforts in ensuring the integrity of cleared derivatives markets and minimizing systemic risk through the oversight of derivatives clearing organizations (DCOs) and clearing participants. CT-16 Level : To qualify for theCT-16level you musthave at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS/CT-15 level). Specialized experience is defined as that through which one has gained experience in accounting, auditing, regulatory compliance, risk management, risk governance, system safeguards and related concepts, practices and procedures in order to manage an examination program. This specialized experience includes oversight, management, and conduct of a wide range of activities including directing the work of others. In addition, you must show that you possess the Executive Core Competencies (ECCs) and Mandatory Technical Qualifications (MTQs) related to this position within your resume - NOT TO EXCEED 2 PAGES . MANDATORY TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS (MTQs) Your resume should demonstrate accomplishments that would satisfy the technical qualifications. MTQ 1 : Experience in leading an examination program involving the oversight of financial institutions’ compliance with regulatory obligations. This experience includes assessing an entity’s compliance with obligations related to areas including: financial resources and reporting, risk management, governance, system safeguards, business continuity/disaster recovery, recordkeeping, and other compliance obligations. MTQ 2 :Experience in drafting summary reports and presentations which clearly and effectively communicate results related to examination and compliance reviews; and ability to work with individuals and entities on examination findings to ensure timely and complete follow-up with compliance concerns. EXECUTIVE CORE COMPETENCIES (ECCs) In addition to the Mandatory Technical Qualification Requirements listed above, your resume will be assessed for executive competency against the following four mandatory ECCs. Assesses and adjusts to implementing innovative solutions to make organizational improvements. Develops and executes plans that achieve outcomes for the organization. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional philanthropic, religious, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Current Members of the SES, those that have been certified through successful participation in an OPM approved SES Candidate Development Program (SESCDP), or have SES reinstatement eligibility, MUST ensure the CFTC's ECCs are demonstrated within their experience and accomplishments.
