Job Description
Lead the Sustaining Engineering team and provide technical leadership across Manufacturing, Product, and Controls Engineering. Drive process improvement, engineering solutions, cost reduction, and technical excellence within the manufacturing operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Manufacturing, Product & Controls Engineering
- Manage daily engineering activities, budgets & priorities
- Lead and develop engineering teams
- Resolve technical & production issues quickly
- Drive continuous improvement & cost reduction
- Improve product designs, processes & equipment
- Support automotive sunroof & roof system development
- Lead DFMEA, design standards & engineering reviews
- Manage prototype, testing & customer planning
- Support supplier, Purchasing & SQA issues
- Develop engineering procedures & best practices
- Support production targets, quality & warranty reduction
- Partner with global engineering teams
Qualifications
- Engineering leadership experience in automotive manufacturing
- Manufacturing / Product / Controls Engineering background
- Strong technical problem-solving skills
- Experience with DFMEA & product realization
- Continuous Improvement / Cost Reduction experience
- Team leadership, mentoring & development
- Automotive product & process development experience
- Strong cross-functional communication skills
- Knowledge of IATF 16949
- Experience with sunroof/roof systems a plus
