Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Patient Services Representative (OP) to support a leading oncology practice. This individual will serve as a key point of contact for patients, handling insurance verification, billing, collections, and financial counseling while ensuring an exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and experienced in medical office operations, with the ability to navigate complex insurance processes while supporting patients through every step of their care journey.
Day-to-Day
- Register patients and ensure accurate demographic and insurance information
- Verify insurance eligibility and obtain prior authorizations/referrals
- Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other out-of-pocket payments at time of visit
- Submit insurance claims and follow up on outstanding accounts
- Review EOBs and resolve billing discrepancies or claim delays
- Post payments and adjustments; reconcile daily batches and deposits
- Respond to patient billing questions and resolve complaints
- Set up payment plans and assist patients with financial resources as needed
Must-Haves
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2–5 years of medical business office experience
- Experience with insurance verification and eligibility
- Experience with billing, claims submission, and payment posting
- Ability to collect co-pays, deductibles, and patient balances
- Strong customer service skills with frequent patient interaction
