Torch Cutter – Industrial Metal Processing Location: Minneapolis Schedule: Full-Time | Outdoor Work Environment Build Your Skills in a Hands-On Industrial Career

We’re looking for a skilled Torch Cutter to join our team in a fast-paced metal processing yard. In this role, you’ll use oxy‑propane cutting equipment, operate heavy machinery, and support yard operations while working in an active, team-driven environment.

As a Torch Cutter, you’ll play a key role in processing and preparing metal materials:

• Operate an oxy‑propane torch to cut and prepare metal to required specifications
• Measure and inspect metals to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance
• Sort, stage, and move materials throughout the yard
• Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, front loaders, and CAT machinery (training available)
• Identify and handle different types of metals safely and correctly
• Use shop math to measure, mark, and verify material dimensions
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and coordinate repairs as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and properly use protective equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions while supporting yard operations

• Experience using an oxy‑propane torch or similar cutting tools
• Experience in metal processing, scrap yard, or industrial environments
• Experience operating heavy equipment (skid steers, loaders, etc.)
• Ability to identify and differentiate various types of metals
• Strong shop math skills for accurate measuring and cutting
• Physical stamina for demanding, hands-on work
• Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues
• Commitment to safety and attention to detail
• Comfort working outdoors in a fast-paced environment

• Sheet metal or scrap metal handling experience
• Willingness to learn additional equipment and skills
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Interest in long-term growth within industrial operations

This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
