Hiring Solar Construction Superintendents – $110K–$115K + Per Diem | Travel Role

You’ll operate as an owner’s representative, managing subcontractors rather than being the subcontractor, giving you a true leadership role on commercial solar projects across the East Coast.

As a Solar Construction Superintendent, you will oversee commercial solar construction projects such as DG sites, carports, and small ground‑mount systems. Projects typically run 12–18 months, and current openings are located in Southern Illinois and Upstate New York. You’ll manage daily site operations, coordinate subcontractors, ensure safety compliance, and represent the owner throughout the project lifecycle. • Oversee daily construction activities on commercial solar sites
• Manage multiple subcontractors to ensure schedule, budget, and quality targets are met
• Coordinate installation of solar carports and ground‑mount DG systems
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and workmanship
• Enforce all safety regulations, permitting requirements, and industry standards
• Serve as the owner’s representative, ensuring alignment between subcontractors and project goals

• Proven experience in construction management or project supervision
• Strong understanding of solar construction processes
• Ability to lead, supervise, and coordinate subcontractor teams
• Working knowledge of electrical systems related to solar installations
• Experience as a project engineer or project manager (large or small company) is highly relevant

• Salary: $110K–$115K
• Per Diem & Expenses Covered
• Travel: Projects located anywhere east of the Missouri River
• Home Travel: Monthly flights home provided
• Family Travel: Significant others may fly out every other month

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomington, IL.

The pay range for this position is $53.00 - $55.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
