Senior Payroll Specialist needed in Clearwater FL! This is an hybrid role working 2 days on site and 3 days from home.

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Payroll Specialist to oversee bi-weekly payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment processing, handling expenses, and managing deductions. This role involves uploading records, processing payroll calculations across various pay cycles, and managing garnishments. You will also assist with payroll tax processing and audits, ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and provincial tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee bi-weekly payroll processes, including payment processing, expenses, and deductions.
• Upload records, deductions, and retroactive increases in the payroll system.
• Process payroll calculations on various pay cycles and manage garnishments.
• Assist with payroll tax processing at the end of the month.
• Ensure accurate and timely payments of all federal, state, local, and provincial withholding and unemployment taxes, including CPP, EI, and Workers’ Compensation.
• Assist with both internal and external payroll tax audits.
• Support project-based work during implementation projects and software updates, including running mock payrolls and creating reports for the team.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of payroll experience.
• Experience with mid-large ERP systems (UKG Pro, Kronos preferred).
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• CPP or FCP preferred; must be willing to sit for the certification.

Work Environment

This role offers a hybrid work schedule with on-site training. You will work on-site two days a week, including Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely for the other three days, as coordinated with the team. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clearwater, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
