Position Summary The Quality Specialist independently performs routine & non-routine assignments of moderate complexity in support of Quality within the plant, and to achieve organizational objectives. These assignments can vary from day-to-day support, project & continuous improvement efforts, and colleague development. Responsibilities * Applies problem solving methods to appropriate applications & effectively achieves quality results. * Development of colleagues in area of Quality Inspection. * Uses DOE methods to independently plan, prepare, run & report results of quality trials. * Applies for statistical/quality techniques in product monitoring. Take actions to prevent non-conformant products. * Conduct and leads internal quality audits. Plans, initiates and follows up on corrective actions. Verifies corrective actions are effective. * Participates in continuous improvement activities in Quality including 5S and lean manufacturing. * Participates in training courses related to Quality. Learn about new developments in Quality and Lean. Apply to assigned tasks & share with others within the Quality Department or assigned areas in the Plant. * Participate on teams relating to Quality materials, and other Value Stream product or process improvements & cost savings within and outside the Quality Department. * Identify & suggest ways to improve the Quality within area of responsibility or plantwide. * Perform supervisory duties for (2) Quality Technicians. What we are looking for * Proven technical and supervisory skills in manufacturing environment * Education - A technical or engineering degree, a 2-year technical degree, or post high school training with equivalent experience in quality or mechanical engineering fundamentals. * Demonstrated ability to solve a variety of complex technical problems. * Demonstrated continuous improvement initiative, mentality, cost reduction and project implementation. * Demonstrated ability to meet objectives on time and within scope/expectations of assignments * Computer skills including Microsoft Office, SAP, etc… desired Come join us! Total Rewards Package The salary range for this position is USD $58,300.00/Yr. - USD $111,400.00/Yr. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
