Director Of FinanceCooperDouglas is partnering with a growing California general contractor focused on multifamily and affordable housing, is seeking a Director of Finance to lead the financial function across a multi-project portfolio. This individual will oversee all accounting, project finance, and reporting while partnering with executive leadership to support strategic growth.ResponsibilitiesLead accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end closeOversee project budgets, job costing, commitments, change orders, and cost forecastingMonitor project financial performance and drive corrective action on variancesManage subcontractor billings, pay applications, retainage, and complianceCoordinate construction loan draws and project cash flowDeliver monthly profitability reporting and WIP analysis to leadershipStrengthen financial systems, controls, and reporting processesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)10+ years of accounting/finance experience with significant construction exposure5+ years in a Controller, Director of Finance, or equivalent leadership roleAdvanced proficiency in construction project management and ERP/accounting systemsStrong command of job costing, percentage-of-completion accounting, and project controlsMulti-project financial management experiencePreferredAffordable housing, LIHTC, or public financing experienceHistory of implementing or scaling financial systemsCompensation range $180,000 - $210,000 + bonus!Onsite San Diego
