Payroll Manager
Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Payroll Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $95,000 to $150,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end bi-weekly payroll processing and ensure timely, accurate payments.
- Oversee payroll tax filings and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Review and approve payroll journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
- Partner with Finance and HR teams on audits, quarterly reporting, and 10-K disclosures.
- Administer the HRIS system (e.g., ADP), lead upgrades, and identify process improvements.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, and 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of multi-state payroll, garnishments, and wage & hour laws.
- Possess extensive experience with payroll systems such as ADP and related financial software.
- Understand SOX compliance and payroll-related internal controls in a public company setting.
Qualifications
- Apply excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to payroll operations.
- Communicate effectively across all levels of management and departments.
- Maintain a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Preferably hold a CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification.
- Speak Mandarin Chinese (preferred but not required).
