Technical Documentation Specialist

Job Title: Technical Documentation Specialist

Work Model: Remote-offsite
Hours: 40 hours
Hourly Rate: $25 - $32.25/hr

Responsibilities

• Utilizing equipment manual BOMs to create equipment BOMs in SAP that can be referenced when needing to track parts down for breakdowns or future time based maintenance creation or the creation of PM03s. This will be for a new line (several new unit ops) that will be brought into the plant.
• After creating the BOMs, remaining time will be spent creating the Time Based Maintenance system for the line so that tasks are automatically created after different time periods based on the task needed (PM02s).
• Organizing an archiving system
• Labeling, sorting, and categorizing documents for ease of use
• Retrieving documents upon request
• Outlining a long-term storage strategy
• Adhering to regulatory requirements
• Working with colleagues to ensure consistency of documentation practice across the company
• Assisting with both internal and external audits
• Ensuring documentation integrity
• Controlling access to documents
• Removing documents that are obsolete
• Utilizing storage software and applications for electronic filing
• Performing transcription and conversion work
• Proofreading documents upon request

• BS Degree required
• PM background
• SAP transaction knowledge for creating Equipment BOMs, requirements for registering new parts in SAP without creating DUPSEEs, and requirements/actually creating time based maintenance work orders (PM02s) in SAP.
• Ability to interpret Bill of Materials from equipment manuals to independently create equipment BOMs.
• Time management, prioritization, and communication skills.
