Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with a specialty in Oncology. This role will primarily involve caring for patients with hematology, medical oncology, and bone marrow transplant needs. The unit will typically have a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. The patient population includes adults receiving treatment for cancer and related conditions. Key responsibilities include administering chemotherapy, managing patients with central lines, and conducting bone marrow biopsies. The nurse will work closely with an interdisciplinary care team comprising various support services. Experience with IV management, telemetry, and using electronic medical record systems is essential. Candidates must possess strong clinical judgment and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Participation in weekend coverage and floating requirements is expected. There may also be a need for managing emergency situations as directed by unit management. Qualified candidates should be prepared to demonstrate proficiency in relevant nursing skills. The use of specialized equipment such as IV pumps and barcode medication administration systems is essential for this role.
