As part of the IT Service Team located at our facility in Goleta, CA. This role is considered onsite but allows for the flexibility of working remotely one day per week as business allows. In this role you will be primary customer interface for IT support and systems administration of local and virtual networks; work with various systems/technologies. This will include user account management, system, workstation troubleshooting, and network hardware/software maintenance, backup/disaster recovery maintenance, server maintenance and protection of information systems.ResponsibilitiesServe as the first point of contact for internal staff seeking technical assistanceRespond to events / problems and record their resolution in help desk ticketing softwareBasic administration of a hybrid environment with both Active Directory and Azure AD resourcesProvide technical support for a wide range of technology needs including phones, printers, workstations, servers and network equipmentAssist in imaging, creating new hire accounts, and Termination processesCommunicate clearly with customers and provide regular updates, status and informationPerform limited maintenance on servers and critical laboratory and testing systemsPass on any feedback or suggestions by users or management to the appropriate teamDetermine process improvements, best practices, and develop new processesTypical Week: 85% escalated desktop/app support, 10% Windows server/network support, and 5% admin/meetings.Ideal ExperienceBachelor’s degree, with a minimum of two or more years’ experience in IT or similar role in a Managed Services Provider environment. Willing to consider relevant work experience in lieu of degreeMicrosoft Office 365, Azure Active Directory and Windows Server Active Directory Administration or certificationExperienced in desktop operating systems such as Windows 10, 11, macOS, and LinuxExperienced configuring, supporting, troubleshooting and administering Windows workstations Experienced supporting workstations in networked environments using VLANs, Zero Trust Architecture, and 802.1xExperienced troubleshooting hardware and software issues through remote control softwareSupport a hybrid environment with both Active Directory and Office365 resourcesMust have current CompTIA Security+ certification, or willing to obtain within 90 days of employmentSome travel may be requiredDesired SkillsSelf-motivated with sound time management skills, attention to detail, and priority management to meet deadlines with minimal oversight, with a focus on customer serviceExcellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skillsSome ability to configure, support, troubleshoot and administer Linux and/or MacOS workstationsExperience with iOS and Android mobile operating systemsCompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are a plusExperienced with Microsoft Teams architecture, features, and functionalitiesSolid understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech productsMotivation and drive to develop yourself personally and professionallyIdentify and suggest possible improvements on proceduresAbility to obtain a US Government Security ClearancePay Range$85,000 - $145,000/yr.Grow with us as we innovate the next generation capabilities for a new era of space exploration!
