About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Communications Officer to lead the development and execution of its integrated communications strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting long-range strategic direction to build awareness and trust among various stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, and the general public. This role involves serving as the principal communications counsel and chief spokesperson, managing crisis and issues communications, and ensuring a consistent organizational message across all channels. The Chief Communications Officer will also oversee the Marketing Department and special events function, ensuring that all work is in line with the company's communications strategy and brand. Candidates for the Chief Communications Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and a minimum of 10 years' experience in communications, public relations, and marketing. The role requires a deep understanding of media and market dynamics, as well as experience in community-based fundraising for non-profits. The ideal candidate will have superb analytical skills, be a passionate customer advocate, and demonstrate the ability to lead and inspire a team. Essential skills include excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects. The Chief Communications Officer will be expected to have a proven track record in managing large and small events and be adept at working with print, broadcast, and news media.
