Feasibility Project Manager Department: Sales Experience Level: 1–3 years (Project Management) Location: Los Angeles Area Work Model: Hybrid (remote with onsite customer‑facing meetings as needed) On-Target Earnings: ~$130,000 - 150,000 Year 1 (base + commission) Who Are You? You're used to a lot of responsibility, comfortable owning timelines, and used to being the person who keeps things moving. You believe the customer‑facing side of this role can be taught. You're coachable. You take feedback seriously, you ask good questions, and you don't need to be the smartest person in the room, you need to be willing to learn, improve, and execute consistently. Coachability isn't a buzzword for you; it's the reason you'll grow faster than your peers. The Role This is a hybrid role that sits at the intersection of Project Management and Sales. The work itself is very project management. The customer‑facing meetings are very sales. We believe the sales part can be taught, what we can't teach as easily is the project management DNA, the discipline, and the comfort with responsibility that come from already having managed projects in the real world. As a Feasibility Project Manager, you own the execution phase of the sale. You are responsible for delivering on the expectations set earlier in the sales process and guiding qualified homeowners through the Feasibility Package and into a signed Project Agreement. This means working closely with the internal Acton team, and with homeowners, to ensure their investment is smart, accomplishes their goals, and provides the maximum amount of value, without surprises. You are not responsible for upfront calls or selling the Feasibility Package. You are responsible for: Leading feasibility and project development meetings. Managing the customer relationship from Feasibility through Project Agreement. Coordinating internal resources across Sales, Design, and Project Management. Driving projects forward to a signed Project Agreement and a clean handoff into design. Your success directly impacts revenue conversion, customer experience, and the overall efficiency of the Sales organization. In This Role, You Will: Execute the Feasibility Package and Design Agreement end‑to‑end using Acton's defined playbooks and processes. Lead feasibility, project development, and Project Agreement review meetings directly. Own the homeowner relationship throughout Feasibility Package and Design Agreement execution. Own and execute site inspection coordination, evaluation, and follow‑through. Assemble early project estimates using established BuilderTrend templates and incorporate site/utility scope. Coordinate project‑specific site plan creation through CanIBuild. Prepare Project Agreement documents and drive qualified projects to signature. Conduct pre‑meeting temperature checks to surface concerns before review meetings. Maintain internal software (BuilderTrend & CRM) and keep visibility on both Sales and Project Management KPIs. Identify risks, misalignment, or uncertainty early and elevate appropriately. Communicate clearly and consistently with internal teams to ensure clean handoffs into design. Be open to learning and applying the Acton Sales System, coached directly by the Head of Sales. What You Own and What You Don’t: You Own: Feasibility Package and Design Agreement execution. Customer relationships and agreements. You guide the customer through the process and get the final signature. Early‑stage project clarity. You are the eyes and ears of Sales, Design, and Customer interests, and you keep the ball rolling. A clean handoff into design once the Project Agreement is signed. You Do Not Own: Inquiry calls. Partnership Evaluation Meetings (PEMs). Selling the Feasibility Package. Estimating strategy or creation of estimating systems (you assemble estimates from templates; you do not own the estimator function). Full production‑phase project management. This clarity allows you to focus on execution excellence and learning the Acton sales system deeply. Skills & Working Style Required This role requires a blend of project management discipline and consultative customer communication. It is best executed by someone with the judgment and discipline of a project manager, not the instincts of a hard closer. You should be comfortable with: Running structured customer meetings. Evaluating project feasibility and scope. Translating customer goals into practical project plans. Managing ambiguity without losing momentum. Asking thoughtful, clarifying questions. Managing emotion without being driven by it. Following a defined process and playbook. Coordinating across departments and escalating risk early. Executing consistently rather than improvising. Success in this role is not driven by improvisation, heroics, or charisma. It is driven by clear expectations, structured processes, proactive communication, strong judgment, and consistent follow‑through. We want someone with project management DNA, customer focus, and a real willingness to be coached into the sales side of the role. Compensation Philosophy Base salary plus commission. Commission tied to sold gross profit. Compensation is aligned with ownership and outcomes. Strong performers routinely reach $130 - $150k total Year 1 compensation once fully ramped. Structure & Reporting Reports to: Head of Sales. Works closely with: Senior Project Manager. Project Advisors. Project Managers. Design Team. This role sits in the Sales Department but operates across both Sales and Project Management. It is a highly collaborative role with clear ownership and accountability.
