As an Automotive Service Advisor in our Express Maintenance Department, you'll be the face of our service drive—guiding customers through their vehicle's maintenance needs while helping them make informed decisions about caring for their Subaru. We're not looking for someone to simply write repair orders—we're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and creating an outstanding customer experience. This position is equal parts customer service, sales, and problem solving. Every day is different, and no two customers have exactly the same needs. What You'll Do Welcome customers as they arrive and greet them at their vehicles. Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle needs. Write repair orders and explain maintenance and repair recommendations. Review multi-point inspection results and manufacturer maintenance schedules. Help customers prioritize repairs based on safety, reliability, and budget. Coordinate with Express Technicians to keep vehicles moving efficiently. Keep customers informed throughout their visit. Assist with oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, tire warranty claims, emissions and registration services, and other maintenance needs. A Day in the Life This is not a desk job. You'll spend much of your day on your feet—meeting customers in the service drive, walking through the shop to communicate with technicians, checking vehicle progress, and visiting customers in our waiting area to answer questions and provide updates. Some days are fast-paced and require balancing several customers and repair orders at once. Success comes from staying organized, communicating well, and working together as a team. Qualifications Automotive knowledge or experience preferred. Customer service or sales experience is a plus. Strong communication and organizational skills. Positive, team-oriented attitude. Basic computer skills. Must be at least 18 years old. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Don't have previous advisor experience?
