Schedule
- Weekends: Required (every other weekend)
- Shift Type: 48-hour shifts approved

Assignment Details

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
- Valid RN license required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS; CCRN preferred
- Experience with CRRT and ventilator management
- Familiarity with invasive monitoring and management of mechanical circulatory support

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients in the cardiovascular intensive care unit.
- Manage post-operative care following cardiac and vascular surgeries, including CABG and valve repair/replacement.
- Administer and titrate vasoactive medications and manage dysrhythmias.
- Perform invasive monitoring, including arterial lines, central lines, and Swan-Ganz catheters.
- Oversee blood product administration and chest tube care.
- Implement therapeutic hypothermia and manage patients on mechanical circulatory support devices.

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Compliance documents due Monday prior to start
- RTO must be listed at the time of submission; post-submission RTO may not be approved
- Charting system: Epic
