Field Engineer - Heavy Civil Construction McMillen, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Field Engineer - Heavy Civil Construction for projects in the Southern central region of the U.S. Our Construction Engineers provide project planning, scheduling, procurement, and related technical and administrative support to lead individuals on the project. This position works closely with the project manager, superintendent, foremen and crews to support the overall needs of the project. All Construction Division offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screen. In accordance with client requirements, security clearance is required and is determined based on background check results. From concept to completion, projects are guided through feasibility studies, permitting, design, construction, and commissioning, ensuring technical precision and real-world functionality. Responsibilities: Performs scheduling of the project. Manages revenue, cost, and cash flow. Contracts, manages and coordinates sub-contractors and product vendors. Participates in the preparation and implementation of permanent design management and quality control. Oversees project closeout. Maintains close contact and good working relationships with client representatives. Assists in Operations planning. Administers contracts and subcontracts. Develops and maintains owner relations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree is highly desired in the related fields of Construction Management or Engineering. 0-3 years' working experience in construction or engineering. Ability to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents. An excellent understanding of pre-construction and construction processes. Must work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation. Respectfully takes direction and adheres to feedback from site superintendent and project managers. Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance in accordance with project and company work hours. Strong computer skills with MS Office, Primavera is a plus, Heavy Job/Heavy Bid is a plus. Regular, predictable attendance is required. Ability to get along and work effectively with others. Field Engineer - Heavy Civil Construction assigned to projects more than 70 miles from their residence are eligible for subsistence and home leave benefits.We also offer a company truck or vehicle allowance, along with mobile phone options.
