The Manager, Commercial Retail Development – MAC & Bobbi Brown supports the development and evolution of global retail business models across both brands. This role focuses on advancing commercial retail formats, distribution modeling, global assortment optimization by channel and format, and omni‑channel integration to ensure cohesive and future‑ready retail ecosystems across DTC/Wholesale distribution. In partnership with the Director, Commercial Operations & Global Retail Execution and the Executive Director, Global Retail, this role contributes to building scalable commercial retail frameworks that align with productivity standards, profitability targets, and brand execution. This role also serves as a project management lead for global retail project proposals, ensuring structured intake, communication, documentation, modeling and cross‑functional alignment as retail initiatives move from concept through evaluation and implementation planning. Key Responsibilities Global Retail Formats & Business Model Development Support development and evolution of global retail format architecture and typologies across MAC & Bobbi Brown Contribute to 360° retail business model frameworks, including sales parameters, cost & investment structure inputs, services integration, assortment density, and space allocation ranges Align retail format development with established productivity benchmarks and capital guardrails Partner with Store Design, Visual Merchandising, Finance, and Regional teams to ensure commercial viability and format consistency Support integration of retail formats within each market’s broader commercial ecosystem to enable globally consistent, locally relevant operations Retail Project Intake Management Serve as a project management lead for global retail project proposals across both brands Own communication flow, follow‑ups, and tracking of project milestones Facilitate cross‑functional meetings and maintain structured documentation Curate and organize project materials, briefs, and evaluation documents Maintain clear visibility of proposal status, risks, and dependencies Partner with Director to ensure project alignment with broader commercial execution, established retail models and performance standards Provide structured updates and summaries to support Executive Director strategic decision‑making Commercial Distribution & Market Modeling Support development of global commercial distribution frameworks across DTC/Wholesale channels, including Department Stores, SMC, and other wholesale partners Model optimal channel mix and market‑level distribution priorities Conduct analysis supporting distribution rationalization scenarios Support door strategy modeling and channel penetration assessments Provide structured analytical inputs to support margin mix optimization and commercial prioritization Partner with Director to align distribution modeling with measurable execution realities Partner with the Assistant Manager, Commercial Performance & Portfolio Analytics to incorporate centralized data, reporting and insights into retail model development Global Assortment Optimization by Channel & Format Support development of global channel‑and format‑specific assortment recommendations aligned to brand strategy Translate brand product strategy into retail‑specific assortment frameworks and recommendations Craft assortment density, core vs. seasonal balance, and channel‑specific SKU strategies Align assortment recommendations with retail formats, VM choreography, and store design principles Drive structured global implementation in partnership with Retail leadership and regional teams Contribute to ongoing refinement of assortment optimization based on commercial performance insights Omni‑Channel Selling & Digitization Integration Support integration of physical retail formats with Brand.com and omni‑channel ecosystem Contribute to omni‑channel selling frameworks that enhance cross‑channel synergy Ensure retail business model development builds a platform to support long‑term DTC evolution Partner cross‑functionally to support digitization initiatives enhancing retail‑commercial integration Key Internal & External Linkages Global Retail Regional Brand & Retail Teams Global Marketing Visual Merchandising & Store Design Finance Ecommerce / Online partners Consumer Insights & Analytics Education / Artistry Qualifications 7–10+ years in retail business development, operations, business planning, or structured PMO environments Experience in retail execution, commercial modeling, or structured project management Demonstrated project management experience supporting cross‑functional initiatives Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and develop actionable frameworks Understanding of DTC and multi‑channel retail ecosystems Ability to manage multiple initiatives with disciplined follow‑through Strong commercial and financial acumen Education Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or related field MBA preferred Competencies Structured project management discipline Execution‑focused and analytical mindset Strong commercial acumen Collaborative and cross‑functional orientationDetail‑oriented with strong organizational skills Clear written and verbal communication Pay Range The anticipated base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $139,600.00. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program as well as participation in the share incentive plan.
