Medical Support Assistant (Office Automation)

About the Position: This position is located at Pacific RIM Naval Hospital, Bremerton, Washington.This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. Duties Perform receptionist and clerical functions in a medical clinic, including data entry, appointment scheduling, and coordination with specialty services. Complete patient order forms, lab requests, and other administrative documentation. Communicate appointment delays and resolve routine administrative concerns. Support in-processing and out-processing of outpatients, families, and caregivers. Respond to emergency calls, follow communication protocols, and operate emergency systems. Requirements Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. A Personnel Security Investigation is required. This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required. Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption. Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
