Job Details Specialty: Cardiac Stepdown / Telemetry / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Assignment Length: 13 weeks Shift Duration: 12-hour days Schedule: 36 hours per week; 3x12-hour day shifts Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend as scheduled Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $2,040 Start Date: October 5, 2026 Location: Columbus, OH 43210 Orientation: 32 hours Job Requirements Minimum 1 year of current acute care RN experience in Cardiac Stepdown, telemetry, or a similar PCU setting Active RN license in hand at the time of submission Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Previous telemetry experience required Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drips Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and dysrhythmia management skills Epic EMR experience preferred Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program preferred Must be comfortable floating within the organization as needed Responsibilities Provide high-quality bedside nursing care for adult and geriatric cardiac stepdown patients Monitor telemetry, interpret cardiac rhythms, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition Administer medications and manage IV therapies, including insulin drips per protocol Support patients with oxygen administration, nasal cannula care, and peripheral IV management Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, patient-centered outcomes Participate in rapid response and code team coordination when needed Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established nursing workflows Float to other units within the organization based on staffing needs Apply now for this Columbus, Ohio travel nursing job and join a team that values clinical excellence, teamwork, and quality patient care.
